immovable

sticks and stones may break my bones,
but words are what condemn me.
Why are people's perceptions so immovable?

Once again IF has offered me a topic that relates to my project!
I am currently doing a project on linguistic conflict and its relation to identity. This illustration is part of that as well.

I would be BEYOND grateful if you could take one minute to give me your interpretation of this image. Feel free to interpret it any way you want.!
Thank you so much!!

I love your illo, it represents ego quite well, and how you see yourself at the moment. The way I see it, it's like there's a lot of noise around you, but you still embrace it with joy (yellow tones and earthy colors), love and being open about what you feel and think.

This is the best I can do for now, I just really wanted to say that I loved your illustration.

Have a lovely day :)

incomprehension

it took me a bit of staring but i think the fact that we are sometimes constrained by words/language...

Or that our words are bigger than us?

Or that our language is what we are

or that English forms the foreground and our regional languages (probably out mother-tongue) gets blurred into the background?

this was fun! i like your blog :)

how one feels alien in Karnataka ! not knowing the language makes you feel foreign !!

or

knowing just one language (culture?) limits your thinking. makes you narrow minded !! one dimensional !!
